During Winter 2005 ich started a new photo serial about history-charged places in Europe beginning with a photo gallery about Verdun. Among other things ich documented the wintery-cold spirit of the Douaumont fortress and memorial.
The frosty coldness on site let us imagine what hostile and brutal conditions ruled at that theatre of war.
